A Long History of Inkjet Innovation
During the past 35 years, AT Info and its technology partners have pioneered many important methods of package identification and bar coding including:
- Introducing the first continuous inkjet printer for use in product and package identification (1975).
- This technology is now the “core solution” for printing real time information, such as use-by dates and traceability codes on metal cans, glass bottles and plastic containers.
- Developing the first jet inks that would adhere to packaging materials (1975) and the first cartridge ink delivery system for packaging applications (1983).
- Developing and continually improving state-of-the-art AUTOPRINT software for on-demand just-in-time printing of variable information and barcode symbologies (1983 - present) using digital computers to control package printers and communication networks to link multiple printers (1988 – present).
