AUTOPRINT® Series 400 printers have a four-head print station and integrated image controller that are embedded in a stainless steel housing. Each print module has long sturdy “skis” that guide the carton being printed to the print station while protecting the printheads. The angled skis are reversible to the direction of carton flow. |

| The Series 400 has two basic models or configurations. The low profile four-head model is designed for printing near the bottom of shipping cartons. It will print I 2 of 5 barcodes that are 2 inches high and placed 1 1/4 inches from the bottom of the carton as required by many supply chains. This feature makes the AUTOPRINT® low profile model the preferred solution for identifying shipping cartons. For applications that only require a 1/2 inch high message or have limited space, a slim single printhead model is available with Series 400 features. |

| The host print module interface can be accessed from the system PC using either a USB or Ethernet communication port. It is easy to connect multiple print modules to build a taller message or to configure systems for opposite side and adjacent side printing. This can be done with standard connection cables or with custom cables up to 20 feet long. | ||||||||||

| NETWORK READY | ||||||||||
| An operator friendly Windows PC control panel is used to configure, align, test, regulate and monitor print modules during set-up and operation. It allows you to see the status of each print module and what will be printed on each carton. Status menus provide piece counts, print rate, clock setting and the amount of ink remaining in each cartridge. WYSIWYG Messagemaker software makes it easy to create the message formats, fonts, multi-lingual text, graphics and barcodes for the products being packaged. | ||||||||||
| An Ethernet connection can be used to link printers on separate production lines to a host PC with Messagemaker® software. This network provides a single point of control for what is being printed at each production line. Alternately, an independent Series 400 printer offers local control at each production line. |
